assalamualaikum
dalam dunia ni, ada sorang je manusia yang panggil aku doctor izzati.
madhi: hye doctor.
me: why are you keep calling me doctor.? i'm not a doctor. i'm an engineer. you should call me ir.
madhi: but in my heart, you are still a doctor.
me: you make me want to cry. ini touching faham.! how i wish so. ^__^
(aku nak cerita kisah silam aku pasal nak jadi doctor. takpe. lain kali)
harini, aku nak jadi doctor. baca ni dengan khusyuk apa yang doctor izzati nak kongsi faham.!
berdasarkan post-post aku yang sangat emosional beberapa harini, ada seorang sahabat aku berjaya memberikan jawapan kepada penyakit aku. thanks to shira paid. aku menghidap penyakit 'seasonal affective disorder' weiyh..!!! jangan ingat aku sorang je. entah-entah kau pun sama ada penyakit macam aku. tak percaya.? jom baca.
what is SAD.?
seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a form of depression that occurs in relation to the seasons, most commonly beginning in winter.
beginning in winter weiyh..!!! sekarang lah tu.!
what are the symptoms?
- Afternoon slumps with decreased energy and concentration (owh, terasa sangat lemah)
- Carbohydrate cravings (lapar, nak nasi.!)
- Decreased interest in work or other activities (asyik hilang mood study)
- Depression that starts in fall or winter
- Increased appetite with weight gain (sentiasa lapar!)
- Increased sleep and excessive daytime sleepiness (selalu tido jugak.! LOL)
- Lack of energy
- Slow, sluggish, lethargic movement
- Social withdrawal (aku malas nak tengok muka orang. haha)
yippee.! aku rasa aku ada semua symptoms di atas. anda pula bagaimana.?
causes and risk factors
The disorder may begin in adolescence or early adulthood. Like other forms of depression, it occurs more frequently in women than in men. Most people with the "winter blahs" or "cabin fever" do not have SAD.
The cause of SAD is not known, but it is thought to be related to numerous factors, including:
- Ambient light (aku nak matahari, please. sunshine will make your day happy)
- Body temperature
- Hormone regulation (that is why it occurs more frequently in women. we have more hormones.!)
A rare form occurs in the summer.
what are the treatments.?
As with other types of depression, antidepressant medications and talk therapy can be effective. Light therapy using a special lamp to mimic light from the sun may also be helpful.
Symptoms commonly get better on their own with the change of seasons.
- banyakkan minum air
- have a talk: call your family or friends
- sekali-sekala tengok keadaan luar (enjoy the snow)
- kalau rasa rindu sangat dengan matahari, usha video matahari kat youtube ea. hoho.
- blogging.! (padan muka korang.!)
hah.! agak-agak korang mengalami penyakit SAD.? takut tak.? takut tak.? haha. rilek dulu. jangan gelabah. ni lah nama dia weather shock.! terkejut body i bila berjumpa dengan snow. it seems that my body loves sunshine even more.
eyh. aku rasa dah sihat lah.! alhamdulillah.
goodbye my beloved readers.!
xoxo
